Calypso's Ocean
The Neonatal Loss Remembrance Page
What is Calypso's Ocean?
Calypso's Ocean is actually a two part organization. One part is supplying an online memorial page for parents whose babies passed away while still in the Hospital or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A place for other people to read your child's name, see their photo, and take a moment of silence in their memory.
The second part is donating bereavement items to NICU and OB wards. Trying to help each newly bereaved parent know they are not alone and someone out there does care about their angel and about what they as the parents are going through.

How can I get involved?
There's a few ways for you to get involved. Donate items for the bereavement packs. Donate fabric to make gowns or even make a few items yourself! To see what items we need please click the Bereavement packs link above.
Or you can request your angel be added to the Angel Pages or the Angel Friends page by clicking the Contact Me link. If you can't find the Contact Me link hover over the word 'more' on the top navigation bar. This will have a drop down menu of the rest of the pages that make up Calypso's Ocean. Including the Angel Pages.

What's with the name?
Calypso's Ocean is named in memory of my daughter Calypso Paikea Rhyder. She passed away at 3 weeks old in 2007. You can read her story under Calypso's Story and there are also some photos of her.
